The deadline for voting this month will be 2100BST on Tuesday 1st October. If you want an extension to that, you need to PM me as soon as it becomes clear you won't make the deadline.

Now go forth and vote, review and decide upon your latest RiaR champion, to ascend to the great halls of the RiaR gods, and-

Well, you know what I mean. Get voting, and may the best entry win.

No post from me this month for many boring reasons. Just a quick note to say great topic and fantastic entries.

Good luck to all and for what it's worth my choices would have been:

1st - The Acolyte: Excellent switching between narratives and great suspense.

2nd - The Long Night: Again a good build of suspense and the introduction of the Fathers words have a weighty change to the outcome.

3rd - On Birth and re-birth: Interesting to get a take on where a monster/hero (take your pick) originated from.

"You were a warleader, a fighter, when did you gain such illuminating insight into the minds of others?"
"I learned such things as you and your brothers applied brand to my flesh and parted skin with rasp and knife," snarled Astelan. "When your witches tried to prise open my mind they opened me for an instant and I stared back."

My two'penneth

1. The Acolyte - Corrigan Phoenix - 3pts
2. Ending lives - Pez_Yoda - 2pts
3. On Birth and re-birth - Liliedhe - Pez_Yoda - 1pt

I really enjoyed Corrigan and Pez's stories - they were excellent. Liliedhe's I thought was well written but didn't grab me in the same way, hence the lower mark.

Congratulations to Phoenix. I will put your story in the hall of frame this week hopefully, and we can see if we can put it up on the bloghole, for all our vast readership to consume, like the voracious word eaters they are! :D

I'll put up the new theme soon. Incidentally guys, go to the discussion thread and make suggestions. What theme word do you think i should use for October's RiaR?
