OK. Now, one of the things I know we were considering was having a single event indicate the onset of the raid, which we can use to tie together the various stories and signal a start to the terror. I think someone mentioned the possibility of an orbiting ship going up in flames, which I reckon would work rather well.

I'm going to go and write a piece now, detailing the beginning of the attack from the point-of-view of an administrator or Navy fellow on an orbital station (depot for the promethium trade, perhaps - shuttles bring it up to the station, where it is loaded onto a transport and sent on its way). The station will be destroyed, and as it is packed full of Promethium, the explosion will be considerable.

So, on the planet below, people will see the sun drop below the horizon and the sky grow dark. And then it will suddenly be bright again, as several million tons of flammable liquid ignite in low orbit. And from out of the inferno come the night-black daggers of the Raiders...

Cue panic.

Hi Maugan.

The idea is that this part of the board is for the planning and discussion threads, and the stories themselves go in the collaborative fiction part. Just shipped you over here, continue as you will.

As the misty veil of Albion is cast aside, we turn our gaze to the war-torn island of Albany, where the Red King vies with his former master for the control of a realm in dire threat.

Do we need to see a show of hands or something?

Like man's sense of his own mortality, I am ever-present.

A show of hands would be useful before we go further I think, there haven't been intro pieces from a few of the writers who expressed interest.

It will hopefully continue, yes. Don't let my silence thus far put anyone off of writing some more for their own characters. I'm just a little distracted right now, having come down to visit family over Easter, but I will get that piece written.

I've decided to withdraw from this. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere, and since the window is about to open I think my efforts would be better spent focussed on that instead.
