My first novel project was inspired during a really boring chemistry class :)

Since i ran out of stories to edit i've averaged probably 1 synopsis per day.
- And there arose from the abyss a terrible beast and the armies of man were laid low by the walls of the ancient city. The ground shook and the skies trembled and all knew as the beast had come forth and that the end of time was upon them.

Assault on Alnedos

267825.M41 – Strike Force Spearthrust arrives in the Alnedos system. The Duron’s Fury destroys a monitoring station on Alnedos VII (target Kappa-2) to prevent identification of the crusade forces.

272825.M41 – The Duron’s Fury, leading the vanguard of Spearthrust, destroys the Alnedos Offworld Academy on Alnedos VI (target Kappa-1) in a half-hour orbital bombardment. It is reported that upwards of seventy-thousand soldiers of the Alnedos Rifles were killed in the attack.

274825.M41 – The Escort Carrier Strongwind leaves the main fleet to begin its assault on the asteroidal mining colonies of Zolme (target Gamma-3). Major Tavers of the 135th Veranan Grenadiers leads his infiltrators on a purge of the colony, neutralizing the defences. Specialists are transferred from the Strongwind to allow Spearthrust to operate the refineries and to repair any damage. The Veranans begin to fortify the colony against any unexpected retaliation from rebel forces.

276825.M41 – Strike Force Spearthrust is detected by the monitoring centres on Alnedos itself. Orion Base goes on full alert in expectation of an attack and the inner system defence fleet is immediately mobilized.
Commodore Thane orders a small battlegroup to form the rearguard of the fleet to counter any attack from the outer defence fleet. The Strike Force begins its assault on Orion Base two hours later with a full frontal assault against the shipyard.

Commander Jeyan of the Second Fleet is ordered by Commodore Thane to commence transit to the Alnedos system with Battlegroup Hammerstrike.

One hour later, Captain Ross and Canoness Marin begin their own assault on Orion Base. Aboard their six Thunderhawks and a trio of Caestus Assault Rams, the Sable Swords are first to breach the shipyard. They are quickly followed by the Sororitas aboard the heavily armoured Avalanche-class landers. Casualties among them are non-existent owing to the shipyard’s fighter wings already having been engaged by the second fleet’s own fighters.

277825.M41 – The Sable Swords succeed in seizing the shipyard’s command centre, any resistance is dealt with harshly and no base officers are spared. Canoness Marin’s Sororitas are still engaged in a running fire-fight to take control of the shipyard’s enginarium.

At her request, Commodore Thane orders the Numani Drop regiments under Colonel Octaivi to deploy to Orion Base aboard specializing boarding torpedoes and another wave of Avalanche landers. The guardsmen are able to successfully land in the shipyard’s main hangar, currently under control by three squads of Sororitas.

Two of Orion Base’s Glorifier-class defence platforms have been destroyed by now and casualties are high on both sides. The Pride of Fire suffers a severe malfunction in its engines and explodes, taking two Sword frigates of Imperator Squadron and seriously damaging the Vanguard under Captain Plites. The Furies and Starhawks assigned to Spearthrust suffer a combined forty-percent casualties. The frigates of the Holy Sword squadron are destroyed by a wave of suicide attacks and are lost with all hands. The Hammer of Ullor suffers severe damage to its port weapon batteries and is forced to withdraw from the front-line.

278825.M41 – After securing the command centre, Captain Rossa assists Canoness Marin and her forces in taking the enginarium. The Numani guardsmen are instrumental in defending the rearguard of the two strike forces against counter-attacks by base personnel.

The last of the Orion defence fleet is either destroyed or captured in bloody boarding actions.

Commander Jeyan arrives with Battlegroup Hammerstrike in the system and consolidates his forces with those of Spearthrust.

Commodore Thane, Captain Rossa, Canoness Marin and Commander Jeyan meet aboard the Assar to discuss the siege of Alnedos.

It is the rough beginnings for now. I plan to work further on this on the weekend, having finally gotten over some of my writer's block issues :)
