I spy with my 40k/Whf Eye...

Postby LordLucan » Sat Nov 26, 2011 11:27 pm

Hellow dear bolholers and various creatures that live in the forum air vents!

Once upon a time, there was a great and noble forum tradition; the I spy competition! Here the great and devious minds of the forum would try to catch each other out with obscure characters and planets of the extensive lore of our favourite settings. I say it it is high time it returned, as it was very popular on the old board. The rules (as I remember them*) are simple:

1) The person who is 'on' types "I spy with my 40K/Fantasy eye, something begining with __" (please specify if it is 40K or Whf)

2) Everyone tries to guess it.

3) If nobody can get it, you may give out let's say up to three clues.

4) The person who guesses correctly is then 'on' and they propose a new letter and so on and so forth.

So, without further ado, I'll go first to get the ball rolling.

I spy with my 40K eye someone begining with 'S'.

*Incidentally, anyone who played this game ont h eold forums, speak up if I've missed any of the rules, cheers
Check out my debut fantasy novel from Fox Spirit Books, The Hobgoblin's Herald (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hobgoblins-Herald-R-Aston/dp/1910462047). If you've read it, please rate and review it on amazon; I'd be eternally grateful. The sequel, Eater of Names, is out in 2018, so watch this space.

As I haven't read that, I doubt it'll be him. ;)

Warmaster Slaydo?

Are we to assume that '40k' includes anything from that universe including characters/planets that appear in the 30k setting or earlier?

Yeah, 40K covers all the setting.

Also, it isn't Slaydo.

I didn't even get to use my clues!

Ok Xisor is up now.

None of those are correct, Jarak & Bane. (Though I was a tad worried for a moment...)
