In dread darkness waits
The Outsider imprisoned
A thirsting god's laugh

Here's a long form one I wrote for another competition a while back, I'm not super up on Haiku's so it might break some rules but, here it is…

Its hard to explain;
Time is somehow different here,
Stagnant yet; frantic

You won't ever know,
This was never meant for you.
Wasn't you bargain.

This is my blessing,
Not the other way around!
This is your curse.

I still feel hate.
Its about all I feel now,
Apart from my need.

Pure white hot anger;
Clear as solar radience.
Clarity incarnate.

I have my purpose;
What else would the need be for?
To guide me to it,

To forget all else.
Purge unclean thoughts from my mind,
Banish them. Forever.

Jealousy guides you.
Burning envy of my choice;
A choice lost to you.

Sons of the hated,
Not remembering you are;
You are all so young.

Too young to have choice,
Far too young to understand,
Too young to have, life.

They made you for us.
Not in the way they thought then.
Great fields, ripening.

The need; Compels me.
Ancient scales must be balanced.
Our debt must be paid.

It helps that I hate,
That I know what came before.
Others aren't blessed such.

Simpler existence.
Stripped of fear; of doubt; of flesh.
Impurity, lost.

Hate tempers my need,
Focuses it, makes me strong.
Strong enough to think.

It gives it purpose,
As the need give me purpose.
And hate, never ends.

Infinity, no?
Immortal, fuelling oneself?
Perfect existance.

I can begin now,
The harvest approaches, soon.
The need, compels me.

And for a serious one (I figured I was obliged to at this point)

Swiftly, darkness falls
Hidden shrieks shatter the calm
The Sons of Curze come
Violence isn't the answer, it's the question. The answer is yes.

This is M'shen, Daugh-
-ter of the Callidus, I've
found Commander Curze.

(I was listening to it again this morning, doesn't really fit as a Haiku, but it's a pretty powerful run of 17 syllables!)

@Mossy & Jaraknarn: Good contributions, thoroughly enjoed! :D
